If you are looking to unwind and get off the tourist track, but your legs still have some life in them, why not try the Dublin Literary Pub Crawl. Meeting at The Duke Pub, in Duke Street, tours take in a dozen pubs as they follow in the footsteps of many of the giants of literature history.

A team of professional actors guide the way as you see where luminaries such as Samuel Beckett, James Joyce and Oscar Wilde spent their time searching for inspiration among the characters and pints of south Dublin. Delivering anecdotal titbits you won’t find in any regular tourist book, feathered with prose from the great writers, there is no shortage of entertainment on this two hour walking tour through the local public houses.

Enjoyed by the likes of Sir Ian McKellan, Kathy Bates and Brian Dennehy over the years, this award winning tour is not to be missed by those who enjoy a drink or a read. Or both.

With a quiz at the end to make sure you’ve been paying attention, the Dublin Literary Pub Crawl is a great way to relax after a long day, and still see some sights.
