The Luas is a light rail system operating in Dublin. The system has gained popularity because it is fast, frequent and reliable. The system has two separate lines, the Red line which connects the Point Depot with Tallaght or Saggat, and the Green line which connect St Stephens Green with Brides Glen in south Dublin. In general the trams travel along roads that have no traffic, or between major roads.

Tickets for the Luas can be purchased at any of the stops through automatic vending machines. Both the Red and Green lines has 5 different zones, and ticket costs depend on the number of zones being travelled through.
